Jack Yablokoff purchased the funeral home from Jacob Blum in 1965, changing its name to Jack Yablokoff Funeral Home. Jack’s father, Herman Yablokoff, was a very famous Yiddish actor. For many years Jack was involved in many organizations and catered extensively to the new wave of Russian immigrants which started in the late 1970’s. His business grew rapidly over the years with the help of his nephews who were also very active in several organizations. Steven remains active today with the Knights of Pythias.

Due to the large increase in Russian volume they hired Inna Idelchik in 1991 as a secretary. Her compassion and dedication helped to grow this business to the success it is today. She became the first licensed Russian Funeral Director in New York, receiving her license in 1999. – Dignity Memorial Website
