Hi Frank,

Was going through the archives and I found this shot I took in Downtown Brooklyn. Any idea what the cat is all about? Feel free to post to ask your readers. I’d love to know…

Hope you are well and enjoyed the sun today!

Adrian.

Let’s see what our resident urban archaeologists come up with! Thanks Adrian.

Robert Baptista’s comments are elucidating!

In 1928, Malkind & Weinstein had nine good-sized projects under way in Brooklyn, so they were able to give their headquarters any touches they wanted, like the intricate half timbering and brick infill on the upper floors, two prowling cat figures at the roof line and a coat of arms at the second floor with the letters M and W flanking a T-square and triangle. – NY Times
