Sandra Walker is an American watercolorist living in the UK who paints fading ads. Here is one of the working snapshots she took while touring the US scouting for signs. The Omega Oil sign was also one of her works. An example of her Quaker Oats ad from DC is also posted on this blog.
Another Storm Through Carbondale & Scranton – Coca-Cola & Lackawanna Country Railroad
Photo Storm that is. I snapped this Coke ad last summer but lost the camera at the Madonna Concert (wild night) before downloading the images. This morning I drove through the dusting of snow to Carbondale to retrace the steps Vincenzo and I took. It’ll take several weeks to post the gigabyte of images uncovered today- from rooftops to train tracks.
Skeletal images in some of the lettering of the Lackawanna County Railroad caught my eye. I climbed the catwalk and took a close-up of one of the urban ediglyphs.
Coca-Cola Ad in Keene, NH – Pumpkin Festival

My buddy Brian took these shots on his way up to a Pumpkin Festival on Washington Street in Keene, New Hampshire. More pumpkin facts: as in most vine flowers, pumpkin flowers are either male or female (rarely hermaphroditic or perfect flowers- which contain both male and female flower parts – as in roses).
