Kisken recently updated me and said:
This round barn [above] was a Sears kit. For a while, Sears made barn kits both round and not round. This is the only round one that I have seen. I know of or have seen pictures of 3 non-round barns made from Sears kits. If you know of any please let me know. The barn is in Marysville Kansas and the owners are really fixing it up…. I had an exhibit in a museum in Edgerton, Wisconsin of my mail pouch barns. Edgerton used to grow tobacco and they have a Tobacco Heritage Days celebration every year. Will exhibit some of my barns at a tractor dealership in St Joseph, Wisconsin near LaCrosse. Sent about 75 more pictures to Finland. Have sent probably 500 pictures there so far. – cheers bob
Keep up the excellent work Bob! Wish I could go to Finland and see your pictures there!

This is a barn built by Finns in Rerd Lodge, Montana. It was a dairy. The woman who owns it now, Kerrie Rochon, is not a Finn. She [Rochon] has done a great job of restoring it. It is a bar and gambling house. I have met lots of neat people who are restoring Finn buildings and keeping our heritage alive. Both Finns and non-Finns are doing this. I wish some American Finn group or Finnish government group would recognize their efforts and give them a “kiitos plaque.” cheers bob kisken.
Kiitos Kisken!
