The Adams Chewing Gum logo was in capital letters and this is script. Not sure if this was an ad for the gum, although there is an Adams-Canada connection:

White & Sons, of Cleveland, Ohio; J. P. Primley of Chicago, Illinois; and the Kisme Gum Company, of Louisville, Kentucky. The corporation is formed under the laws of New Jersey, June 3, 1899.
