Amazingly this won’t be a new high rise, but a new ventilation facility for the 1,2,3 and A,C,E subways (improved ones are being required by the fed gov). I personally am happy to see the ads go, but I’m sure the woman who owns the building (her father or grandfather bought the building and she has lived somewhere in Florida for years) will miss the tens of thousands of dollars she made each month for selling the space for the ad.
Let’s hear it for subway improvements! Got into that building once and onto the roof to take a picture of the Jefferson Theatre sign across the street. Too bad they are losing their income on air space. Dems de breaks.
