    THAT is so PROFOUND it took MY BREATH AWAY. i know you have things to deal with. my hubby has some serious dementia going right now. not offically “the big A”.. YET. we are still “willowing out” other options. WOW. “our life is a vapor”.. and so.. we fade away. as the painted signs do. as the old archeological paintings? the REALLY old fading ads? hmmmm? HUGS. and THANK YOU. that really just HIT ME HARD..

      Dear Kathi- Thanks for stopping by again. Sorry to hear about your husband. My mom is starting to get dementia and I am her only child. It is tough to watch. I’m hoping the blogging and whatever comes along in the future will keep my mind sharp. Thank you for your continued support. I was thinking of Cleveland the other day when I posted my Rock and Roll Hall of Fame iPhone pic on Instagram. ENjoy the rest of the summer! Best, Frank

        YOu made me GRIN WIDELY. to remember. My son drove by “pump and ice machine, inc” and the building is STILL standing. they are redoing freeways there and we thought it might have been demolished in the process. WHEW. it still stands. In the ownership, last i heard, of my cousin. but the actual “business” has relocated. VERY sad. Dementia is a horror. It IS a “fading ad” in yet another way. there is another site, blog? “alzheimers reading room” MOST valuable info you don’t get from the medical profession. FIRST RULE. always SMILE. at them.. the BEST i have gleened so far. THINK of the BEST MOMENT you had with that person. and HOLD THAT THOUGHT whenever you look at them. talk to them. etc. MY JOY today is that Darling david and i have SO MANY REALLY AWESOME moments, i have not even begun to ponder the “top ten” let alone the best. Your being your mom’s only child. “sucks canal water”.. now the JOKE in this is that my dad’s shop.. Pump and ice machine inc. is LOCATED on “canal street”.. As you know,, we have THIS MOMENT. so RELISH it. the summer WILL be enjoyed. because WE MAKE IT SO. thank you Frank. and another HUG to you.
