I just discovered this, and the other fading ad/ghost sign blogs. Here in Albuquerque, most of these have been lost in the last ten years or so,due to gentrification. The buildings are still there, but the painted ads are gone. One that is still there,is a very prominent General Arthur Cigar ad,on Central Avenue, downtown. It probably dates from the 1890s,or 1900s.Do you know if anyone has taken any pictures of it?
Roger- Why don’t you take a picture of it and send it to me and I’ll feature it!
