My grandparents used to have Cornell soda deliverd.
What about Foxx’s U-Bet and seltzer? Charles Chips?
my father delivered this soda himself for over 30yrs, he delivered house to house, the name of his company was norway beverage which was later changed to charlie’s beverage, anyone out there rmember him
Believe it or not, Cornell still exists…my synagogue still gets it delivered. We must be the only ones that still do.
@Jennie I had your father “the soda man” deliver to my home for all of my childhood. I came across this blog because i was googling cornell soda… was talking about how great it was as a kid to have soda delivered every 2 weeks. Soda has such a bad rap nowadays but we grew up on it and I have fond memories of Charlie. 🙂
Just got another case of Cornell soda delivered to our house this morning lol. It used to be every week we get it, but recently it’s every month now. Oh well lol. But yes Cornell is still alive and strong.
also had a soda man , Mr. Pollack, who delivered Cornell soda and seltzer when I was a kid. Delivered in Queens. Those really were the good old days. Anybody remember Tuckee Cup?
In 1950s Brooklyn, Cornell soda was sold and delivered by “seltzer men” who sold & delivered “Good Health” seltzer in siphon bottles, You had to be really strong to carry a wooden case of 8 or 10 bottles of seltzer up the numerous stairs in Brooklyn apartment buildings.
Does Cornell soda still exist? And if so, where can I find it?
I lived in Belleville NJ and I remember the soda man. We had Cornell delivered to our house even though Brookdale soda was in our neighborhood. I don’t remember the man’s name but I remember him being a bald slender man.
