The Dutch government condemned the comments by Gen. John Sheehan, a former Nato commander and senior marine officer, as outrageous. Gen. Sheehan made the remarks at a Senate hearing where he argued against plans by President Barack Obama to end a ban on allowing gays to serve openly in the US military. – Telegraph UK
I don’t understand … it sounds like this man is saying what the Dutch government told him. So … why isn’t the title of this “Dutch Government says…”? And let’s face it … it could be true, right? I mean, if it is, can’t we say it? It doesn’t hurt my gay feelings!
I doubt the Dutch government would blame something on soldiers based on their sexual orientation. Sounds GOP to me.
