    Great pictures of historical signs in Tacoma where I live.

    I think you would enjoy picture from historic walking tour of Tacoma which showed many signs in the city:

    The pictures of the walking tour were taken in 1979 and are considered some the best showing blighted state of the downtown at the time.

    The University of Washington has since started a branch campus downtown but they have taken extra ordinary efforts to save the signs and even designed a building around the sign.
