    Mike, I think I know that building – it’s on Wabash or Michigan, somewhere near Roosevelt, right? That’s one of the downtown ads I’ve been meaning to photograph, if I ever get around to it.

    I am trying to trace back the ancestry of my 5th great grandfather, Stephen Pendergast (or Prendergast). Stephen was born in 1692 or1693 in Wexford County, Ireland. With his brother Dennis, Stephen salied from Ireland to America in about 1715-1720 on the ship “Angel Gabriel” landing at Kittery, Maine. He married Jane Cotton in Greenland, New Hampshire on March 3, 1727. He died on September 10, 1753 and was buried in Durham, New Hampshire

    I have copy of an article titled At The Sign Of The Crest: Prendergast-Pendergast Coat of Arms from the November 1943 issue of “Hobbies- the magazine for collectors,”

    In that article it says-
    “Early records of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia bear the name of P(r)endergast, the earliest in New Hampshire and Virginia. The ancestors of the family in Ohio who made this article possible, came to America in the “Good Ship Pink Cow”; Edmund, the first to arrive, in 1688, settled in New Hampshire.”

    I would like to contact the “the family in Ohio who made this article possible” to see if they have any information about Stephen’s ancestry. In particular, for example, I am wondering whether “Edmund, the first to arrive, in 1688, settled in New Hampshire” may have been related to Stephen, and if so, in what way, and in general if that may lead to answers.

    I hope you can help me in this quest, and I thank you in advance.
