This is the first day I saw our cat Mimi. Vincenzo called her “a scrawnty thing.” I developed the negative and created this print while completing my first Masters degree in Education at Brooklyn College in 2003. Sadly, Mimi died rather quickly from liver failure on April 23, 2012.
I like the shadow
Dank je.
I love when a photograph tells a story
That vein of mortar makes the shadow look furry — almost as if there is another (black) cat beneath Mimi’s feet. Love it.
Mimi succumbed to liver failure today. We had to put her down.
