My grandfather who died before I was born was Alex Glasser, this was his store. My grandmother is going to LOVE this picture when I show it to her. Thanks so much. -Alex
You are welcome Alex! Regards to your grandmother.
Hello Alex
My wife and I are collectors of many things and we like to document items collected. We found a wooden coat hanger from your grandfathers store stamped Glasser & sons Opp. Loew’s Pitkin Theatre with a telephone number of Dickens 2-4012. We figure the age to be somewhere in the 30’s – would you have any thoughts on dating this pieee?
Tks Bob
Hey Bob- Can you take a picture of it or scan it and send it to frankjump@fadingad.com? Thanks. Frank
I have one of those hangers too! I never thought I’d find out where it came from. What a wonderful blog you have. WK
