Keka, Chris (Flatbush Gardener) and Anne (Sustainable Flatbush) at Flatbush Frolic, September 16, 2007
Chris took me to visit his garden and I took these shots. Forget the names of the flowers. Such a lovely hidden world within earshot of the Coney Island Avenue din.

Yikes! You make me look like such a player, a “girl” on each arm …
The yellow waxy flower is Kirengeshoma palmata (no English common name I know of), a Japanese woodland plant. The white flower is Clematis terniflora (C. paniculata), the aptly named Sweet Autumn Clematis. No reason why you would remember these names!
It was a pleasure to meet you, however briefly.
I so love your garden. Of course, I would have to find a use for all of those apples. Perhaps a treat to the local police horses. The Kirengeshoma is so beautiful. The closeup makes it look like a squash. Need to get a shot of them open.
Again, loved meeting you as well. Looking forward to a blog-ollaboration!
Best,
Frank
What lovely photos, so wonderful looking.
