these pictures are great…how do I purchase a copy? JJ Friel was my great grandfather. Thank you for your time. Monica
My grandfather worked at Friel’s for many, many years.
Tom – What was your grandfather’s name and when did he work at Friel’s? I’m Monica’s sister and we are researching our great grandfather, JJ Friel.
Thanks for visiting Frances!
I was passing a building on Jamaica Ave., and I saw the J J Friel 1870 stone facade near the top and looked it up. I never tire of the things I can find on the net.
Cool John! What are the cross streets on Jamaica? Is it 171st Street since the address is 171-03? Thanks for stopping in! Frank
WHERE CAN I FIND J.J. FRIEL BIOGRAPHY. 1870 IS REAL HISTORY. AND HIS PICTURE?
Do the research. Let me know what you come up with.
I live right by the old J.J. Friel of Jamaica Ave. I was a deli for as long as I can remember however the deli closed and now they’re renovating. Since they’re renovating, you can see the old original sign of the building and I find it an amazing sight to see since almost all the buildings in Jamaica Ave are the original. I see that descents of Friel have written here, I’d be more than happy to take a picture of the building and send it to you (or as a matter of fact I’d send it to anyone interested).
Would love a pic. Also send the address or cross streets so when I post it, people can visit it. Thanks!
