My father had his bar mitzvah ceremony at this former synagogue. The building had been a community center for a while before it was advertised as future office space. When I snapped this photo, the main building as well as a smaller school building were still standing but with work already starting on the remodeling. (Update-- in December 2004 the front of the building, with its many Jewish symbols, was gone. Scaffolding was there.)
