Salem Missionary Baptist Church had been Shaarey Torah, a fairly large conservative synagogue. My family and I attended this shul while we lived in Flatbush. I recall going occasionally with my father to weekend morning services (once a congregant took the prayer book out of my hands and replaced it right side up). This shul merged with the East Midwood Jewish Center and the assistant rabbi of Shaarey Torah joined the staff of East Midwood many years ago. The church has kept the menorah ironwork out front, as well as a burning bush sign that says "Shaarey Torah" in Hebrew.
